Opera begins with a precise observation: those who work daily among scaffolding and structures know exactly where the personal protective equipment available on the market falls short. The tools are not wrong; they are designed for a generic operator, not for the range of conditions a construction site produces in a single working day.

The problem is not new. The response, until now, has been to adapt existing tools rather than rethink the problem from the ground up. Opera sets out to do the second.

It is a research project focused on category-three personal protective equipment for the construction sector. The starting point is direct job-site experience; the method is applied research. The project is in the development phase. There is no product to purchase, and no launch date to announce. There is a clear direction and the work required to follow it.
